Review Hope House

A combination of scientifically rooted therapies and treatments make up evidence-based care, defined by their measured and proven results. Sharing your insights and experiences can help others learn more about this rehab center. Founded in San Pedro by Perry Petacia, Review Hope House was formed to directly serve young men in recovery.

To add, he wanted to transform their lifestyles and teach them life skills necessary to succeed. Our Alumni Program is a network of compassionate members from our recovery community dedicated to supporting the next generation by sharing their own experience of achieving their goals and aspirations through our programs. Today, President Biden is issuing the first-ever National Review Review Hope House Security Memorandum (NSM) on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Healing within like-minded communities is essential for a young man’s recovery from addiction. Having a support system and sober friends aids with the difficulty young adults face in today’s social climate. Participating in a community of like-minded men helps to keep them from social scenes such as bars, nightclubs, and house parties where alcohol and drugs can be easily accessed. Plain and simple, Review Hope House is amazing…it’s hard for me to describe in words how wonderful this program really is. i can truly say that as a mom, they have given me my son back.

Sober living homes–also referred to as halfway houses–such as ours in Los Angeles are residential homes that provide a drug and alcohol-free environment for people in early recovery. Sober living homes provide the necessary support, encouragement, and safety helpful for recovery. Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who’ve just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society.

See what our client’s and their families are saying

  1. Adolescents receive the treatment they need for mental health disorders and addiction, with the added support of educational and vocational services.
  2. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.
  3. We believe this gender-specific and peer-based support network allows men to create meaningful relationships with others they can relate to and identify with.
  4. Friends and family of house members are encouraged to learn about the structure and philosophies of our sober living in order to help their loved ones continue to use these tools on the outside.

Completing this program has truly been the experience of a lifetime. This house has helped me find the tools to overcome any challenges that may come up in life. I have made some of my best friends in this program and have a giant community that I know I can rely on at any time. This house has helped give me hope again and for that I will be eternally grateful. Review Hope House is here to help young men continue their recovery journey.

SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle. When there is a strong bond among house members, the chance for long-term sobriety success is significantly increased. Thanks to peer grouping, friendships made in the houses last long after graduation from our sober living homes. A like-minded support group is essential for long-term success in any type of program that encourages permanent change. Staying sober is not just about abstinence from drugs and alcohol–it is about addressing the emotional underlying issues. It is also about learning healthy habits and embracing a new life, free from substances.

Step Social Program

Unlike other rehab aftercare centers and sober living homes, New Life Hosue uses a peer-grouping method that helps those in recovery connect with individuals going through the same life experiences. Peer grouping means creating sober living houses geared towards specific age groups so the young men can better relate with one another. This creates a strong support system when grouping individuals with similar commonalities together who are at similar points in their lives. Peer grouping is built on powerful friendships that help to facilitate recovery and long-term, quality sobriety, and we find this support system extends far beyond the walls of our sober living houses. From the time we first contacted New Life to today (our son is a graduate from this program and about to move out of the recovery home. He graduated after 14 months and moving out after 17 months.), it has been a blessing. This program not only prepares these young men to achieve sobriety but it also gives them the tools to sustain it.

A safe place to live is provided among peers who are also working on their sobriety. We take pride in providing a comfortable, safe and nurturing environment to heal and transform. Take a tour of the best sober living homes in Los Angeles today and feel the difference. New Life’s sober living homes near Los Angeles, California have paved the way for young men to create successful lives and fulfilling futures, since 1985. Teaching life skills like cooking, cleaning, clear communication, and even basic math provides a strong foundation for continued recovery. In 1994, Perry separated the age groups and opened a second sober living house for men in the Torrance, California area to accommodate the older adults.
